Introduction

EmoteSizer ("EmoteSizer", "we", "us", or "our") operates the website located at emotesizer.com, a free, browser-based suite of GIF editing and emote-optimization tools for streamers. We are based in the United States and serve a global audience. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and disclose information when you visit or use our services, and it explains the choices you have about how that information is handled. By using EmoteSizer, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the site.

Information We Collect

EmoteSizer is designed to collect as little personal information as possible. We do not offer user accounts, and we never ask you to register, sign in, or provide personal details to use our tools. The information we do handle falls into three narrow categories:

  • Files you process. When you upload a GIF, image, or video to an EmoteSizer tool, the file is decoded, edited, and re-encoded entirely inside your browser using client-side WebAssembly and Canvas APIs. Files are never transmitted to our servers, never stored on our infrastructure, and never shared with any third party.
  • Contact form submissions. If you voluntarily submit a message through our contact page, your name, email address, subject, and message are relayed to our inbox through Web3Forms, a third-party form-delivery provider. No copy is stored on EmoteSizer's servers.
  • Local browser storage. We use your browser's localStorage to remember your chosen theme, and we use sessionStorage to enforce a short-term anti-abuse counter on the contact form and to cache an anonymous session identifier generated by the KLIPY search API.

How We Use Cookies

Cookies are small data files that your browser stores on your device. EmoteSizer and the third-party services we integrate with use cookies and similar storage mechanisms for the following purposes:

  • First-party preferences. We store a single "theme" key in localStorage so that your chosen light or dark mode persists between visits. This data never leaves your browser.
  • Google AdSense advertising cookies. Our ad partner Google, including its DoubleClick DART cookie, may set cookies on your browser to serve and measure ads. These cookies help Google show more relevant advertisements based on your prior visits to this and other websites on the internet.
  • KLIPY session identifier. Our GIF/sticker search is powered by KLIPY. KLIPY generates an anonymous session ID which is cached in your browser's sessionStorage so search results can be deduplicated within a session.
  • Google Search Console. We use Search Console to understand how visitors discover our site. Search Console receives aggregate, anonymized query data directly from Google — no browser cookies are set by us for this purpose.
  • Cloudflare Web Analytics. We use Cloudflare's privacy-first Web Analytics to measure aggregate page views and traffic sources. It is cookieless, sets no client-side identifiers, does not fingerprint visitors, and does not collect any personal data. Cloudflare processes only aggregate, anonymized request metadata. Google AdSense and Third-Party Advertising

EmoteSizer displays advertisements supplied by Google AdSense so we can keep our tools free for everyone. As a third-party vendor, Google uses cookies to serve ads on our site. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet. Ads may be targeted based on the content of the page you are viewing, inferred interests, and previous visits. Google's DoubleClick DART cookie is one such identifier and is described in Google's policies.

Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings. You can also review the complete list of Google's advertising technologies and partners at https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads. Our Google AdSense publisher ID is ca-pub-5451666136881781, which can be verified in our site's /ads.txt file. We do not receive any personally identifiable information about you from Google's ad serving. If a third-party ad creative includes a tracking pixel or beacon, it is subject to that advertiser's own privacy practices and is outside EmoteSizer's control.

Beyond Google's settings, you can opt out of personalized advertising from participating networks via the Network Advertising Initiative consumer opt-out at https://optout.networkadvertising.org/ and via the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out at https://www.aboutads.info/choices/. European Economic Area users can opt out via https://www.youronlinechoices.eu/.

Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Depending on where you live, you may have specific rights regarding your personal data. If you reside in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) grants you the right to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object to processing or withdraw consent at any time. If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and CPRA give you the right to know what categories of personal information we hold, to request deletion, to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, and to be free from discrimination for exercising these rights. Because EmoteSizer does not maintain user accounts and does not store files or personal identifiers on our servers, most of these rights resolve trivially — we simply have no data to return, correct, or delete. For any message you have sent through our contact form, you may request deletion by emailing us at the address below.

Children's Privacy

EmoteSizer is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in jurisdictions where that is the applicable minimum). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information to us through our contact form, please reach out and we will promptly delete it.

Data Retention

Messages submitted through our contact form are retained in our inbox for up to 180 days so we can follow up on your question, then are deleted or archived beyond reach of routine search. We retain no file uploads, no IP logs of tool usage, and no behavioral profiles. Aggregate, anonymous Google Search Console data is kept for the duration Google provides it.

Third-Party Links and Services

Our site links to or integrates with services operated by independent third parties, including KLIPY (GIF/sticker search API), Twitch, Discord, Kick, 7TV, BTTV, FFZ, and Google. When you click an outbound link or interact with embedded third-party content, that provider's own privacy policy applies. EmoteSizer is not affiliated with Twitch, Discord, Kick, 7TV, BTTV, or FFZ, and is not responsible for how those platforms or KLIPY collect, use, or share data.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes will be highlighted at the top of the page for at least 30 days.
